About Me

I am a bilingual and bicultural Licensed Clinical Psychologist, immigrant, and proud Latina born in El Salvador and raised in San Francisco, California. My personal and professional journey has shaped not only who I am, but also the way I approach my work with every individual and family I serve.

Growing up as an immigrant and being surrounded by family members and friends who were also navigating the immigrant experience, I witnessed firsthand the challenges many people face when trying to access mental health and other supportive services. Later, through my clinical work, I continued to see how often individuals and families struggle to find professionals who truly understand their experiences; professionals who "get them" and "get it."

For many, barriers to care extend far beyond language alone. I have seen how differences in culture, immigration experiences, religion, disability, literacy, family values, and other aspects of identity can profoundly impact whether someone feels seen, heard, and understood. Too often, people seeking help encounter systems that were not designed with their lived experiences in mind.

These experiences inspired me to become a psychologist.

My goal is to provide culturally responsive, compassionate, and thorough services that honor each person's unique story and identity. I strive to create a space where individuals and families feel genuinely understood and respected. Whether I am conducting an immigration evaluation or a comprehensive neuropsychological assessment, I approach each evaluation with curiosity, humility, and a commitment to getting it right.

At Flores Psychological Corporation, I believe that meaningful assessment begins with understanding the whole person, not just symptoms, diagnoses, or test scores, but the cultural, familial, and personal experiences that shape who they are.
